Software with a Soul.

AnMoon is an independent studio crafting precision tools, educational bridges, and satisfying games — built in Marrakech, used in the field.

The Person Behind the Studio

My name is Abdellah Boutmouzzar. I am a software developer based in Marrakech, Morocco, and AnMoon is the studio through which I design, build, and publish all of my products.

My professional background is in mobile and web application development. Over the years I have worked across a range of domains — from internal business tools and data processing pipelines to consumer-facing mobile apps — but the work that consistently interested me most was software built for specific, real-world constraints: limited connectivity, multilingual users, non-technical operators. The gap between what mainstream app publishers were producing and what the users around me actually needed became the reason for AnMoon.

The studio takes its name from the Tamazight word anmoon, meaning "going together toward a destination." It reflects something I genuinely believe about software: a good tool should feel like a reliable companion, not a product trying to maximize your engagement with it.

What We Have Built

AnMoon has published a growing catalog of applications across professional tools, educational software, and mobile games. Every product is designed and developed in-house.

Professional Tools

StaffLedger is an attendance and payroll assistant for field-based managers. It handles crew tracking, daily wage calculation, advance recording, and cash breakdown entirely offline. It was built in direct response to the limitations I observed in how construction site payroll is managed in practice — on paper, from memory, with frequent errors. staffledger.anmoon.org

TaskVerified is a field documentation tool for tradespeople and site inspectors. It captures photographs, GPS coordinates, timestamps, and signatures to produce verifiable job reports — structured around the principle that documentation should happen at the moment of observation, not reconstructed afterward. taskverified.anmoon.org

pdf2x is a browser-based document preparation tool built for AI and RAG workflows. It extracts clean, structured Markdown from PDFs — including scanned documents — using local OCR with support for over 30 languages including Arabic and Tifinagh. All processing happens in the browser; no file ever reaches our servers. pdf2x.anmoon.org

Educational Apps

Our educational catalog covers vocabulary and visual memory games for young children, with content in English, French, Arabic, and Tamazight. The Tamazight resources — using the Tifinagh script — are among the very few high-quality digital learning materials available for this language, which is spoken by tens of millions of people across North Africa and the Amazigh diaspora but underserved by mainstream publishers.

Games

Zen Ball Breaker is a focused arcade experience combining brick-breaker and pinball mechanics, designed for sessions that have a defined beginning and end — no infinite scrolling, no energy systems, no dark patterns.

The Philosophy of Intention

AnMoon was founded on a simple premise: software should respect the user. In an era of "everything apps" and notification-driven design, there is a genuine need for tools that do one thing exceptionally well and then get out of the way.

This independence — operating as a small studio rather than a venture-backed product company — allows me to make decisions based on what is actually useful rather than what drives engagement metrics. AnMoon products do not have ad networks, do not sell user data, and are not designed to create dependency. The goal is to help you complete a task and get back to your life.

Our Core Pillars

1. Focused Utility

Every button, menu, and setting in an AnMoon product must earn its place. If a feature does not directly contribute to the core job the app was built to do, it does not make the cut. This results in software that is lightweight, fast, and easy to learn — even for users who are not comfortable with technology.

2. Offline-First by Design

The real world does not always have a reliable signal. Construction sites, rural classrooms, remote field locations, building basements — these are the environments where our tools are used, and where cloud-dependent software fails. Every AnMoon product is built to function fully without an internet connection. Synchronization, when it exists, is an enhancement — never a dependency.

3. Multilingual from the Start

Language is infrastructure. Building software that works in Arabic, French, English, and Tamazight is not an afterthought or a localization pass — it is a design requirement that shapes the architecture of each product from the beginning. Right-to-left rendering, Tifinagh script support, and multilingual OCR are first-class concerns, not edge cases.

4. Privacy by Design

We believe your data is your own. Wherever possible, AnMoon tools are built to run entirely on your device. OCR processing in pdf2x, attendance logs in StaffLedger, field reports in TaskVerified — none of this data touches our servers unless you explicitly choose to share it. This is not a marketing claim; it is a consequence of the architecture.

Common Questions

Where is AnMoon based?

AnMoon is based in Marrakech, Morocco. This location at the crossroads of African, Arab, Amazigh, and European cultures directly informs our multilingual approach and the specific problems we choose to solve.

Who writes the guides and articles on this site?

All content on anmoon.org is written by Abdellah Boutmouzzar. The technical guides reflect direct experience building and deploying the software described — the payroll workflows, the OCR pipelines, the offline architecture — not secondary research.

Why are your apps offline-first?

Because the users who need them most often work in places without reliable connectivity. A field supervisor managing a crew on a remote construction site, a teacher in a rural school, a site inspector in a concrete basement — these users cannot afford software that stops working when the signal drops. Offline-first is not a technical preference; it is a user requirement that shapes every architectural decision.

Are the educational apps available on Android?

We are currently expanding our iOS educational series to Android and Google Play. Progress updates are published on our News page.

How do you make money if you do not sell user data or run ads?

AnMoon products are sold directly — either as one-time purchases or through a freemium model with optional paid features. We believe this aligns our incentives with users rather than against them: we succeed when the product is genuinely useful, not when it captures attention.

Can I contact you directly?

Yes. For technical questions, reach out at support@anmoon.org. For general inquiries or partnership discussions, use info@anmoon.org. I read everything.
